I. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: LEAD-FREE PASTE LF-315_EM615
Lead-Free Paste LF-315_EM615 No Clean Solder Paste is widely used. Its soft nonadhesive residue improves the reliability of the line test; reduces the frequency of cleaning the probes.
Lead-free paste LF-315_EM615 with alloy: Sn99/ Ag0.3/ Cu0.7 have:
- Feature: Excellent mechanical properties and thermal fatigue performance.
- Application: Low-cost SAC alloy for most SMT applications.
Paste Fux: EM#615
- Features: Specially configured flux with excellent printability for ultra-fine pitch welding operation. Its flux can withstand high preheat temperatures and a wide range of operational reflow jobs. It shows excellent wetting on most circuit boards.
- Flux Classification: ROL1

IV. WELDING APPLICATIONS: LEAD-FREE PASTE LF-315_EM615

PREHEAT
From room temperature until 140-150°C at a rate of 1-2°C/s. Fasten rate could result in component cracking due to vaporizing absorbed moisture.
SOAK ZONE
Between 150 and 200°C. A soak zone is used to level out temperature differences on a board. It is often used in IR ovens and on boards with a big diversity of components and Cu distribution.
RAMP UP TO REFLOW
Maximum 2°C/s because of different thermal expansion coefficients inside the components.
REFLOW
Peak temperature related to component specifications. Peak temperature at 245-255°C for 5-8 sec, more than 220°C for 40-120 sec.
COOLING
Maximum 3°C/s because of different thermal expansion coefficients inside the components.

CLEANING
Misprinted: Wipe clean with Electroloy’s Universal Thinner T800 or refer to the cleaning solvent provided by TH commercially.
Post/ Residue Cleaning: Residues of EMCO#615-315P are designed to remain on the board after reflow. If cleaning is required, use Electroloy’s Universal Thinner T800 or consult a commercially available TH electronic cleaner.
Stencil Cleaning: For the best result, use Electroloy’s stencil cleaner EM#1035 recommended with under stencil paper wipe.
V. PACKAGING: LEAD-FREE PASTE LF-315_EM615
Each tub of solder paste is approximately 500g and shall be sealed tightly. Traceable information will be shown on the sticker such as product code, alloy composition, particle size, net weight, and lot number.
– The solder paste tub shall be placed in foam boxes and packed in carton boxes of about 10kg per box.

A) Physical Appearance
Electroloy’s lead-free paste LF-315_EM615 exhibits a homogenous solder paste which is grey in color.
B) Particle Size Of Solder Powder
The particle size of solder powder is compliant with the International Standard Specification IPC J-STD-005.
VI. STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE: LEAD-FREE PASTE LF-315_EM615
- To ensure the best performance, it is recommended to refrigerate at 3-10C. Under recommended storage conditions, a shelf life of 6 months is achievable.
- Once opened, do not refrigerate the lead-free paste LF-315_EM615 again. Best to keep it in a sealed container.
- Unopened solder paste can be stored at room temperature (25⁰C) for up to 2 weeks.
A) Delivery
Each order can be shipped with the Certificate of Analysis for each lot.
B) Safety
Although Electroloy’s EMCO#615 flux system is not considered toxic, the reflow process will generate a small amount of reaction and decomposing vapors. Thus it is recommended to have these vapors exhausted out of the work area. For more information, please refer to our SDS for further safety information.
