What is a solder bar?

Solder bar is a kind of bar-shaped solder material used in automatic wave solder assembly. The most common alloy for soldering electronic assemblies contains 63% tin, 37% lead, and has a melting point of only 361 °F. Other alloys used to assemble electronic components include 60/40, Sn62/36/2Ag with 2% silver, and 10/90 high temperature solder with 90% lead.
