Electronic circuits and things to know

Mạch điện tử

Electronic circuits are very important devices in our present lives. Almost all electrical devices have electronic circuits. In addition, because each device has different uses and functions, electronic circuits are also divided into many types. Let’s find out more details in the following article!

What is an electronic circuit?

An electronic circuit is an electrical circuit consisting of individual electronic components such as resistors, transistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes, microchips, etc., which are connected by wires to conduct current. Aligning parts and wires allows you to perform simple or complex operations. For example, signals can be amplified, calculations can be performed, or data can be moved from one place to another.

An electrical circuit will consist of discrete components connected to each other by individual pieces of wire. But now the most common is to make connections by optical printing on thin film surfaces (printed circuit boards, or PCBs) and soldering components. In an integrated circuit, or IC, components and connections will be formed on the same surface. A good example is semiconductors like silicon, some of which are gallium arsenide.

Types of electronic circuits today

Based on their function, we can classify different electronic circuits as follows:

Source circuit, rectifier, filter, voltage stabilizer

This is a fairly common circuit and has been around since the beginning of AC power. This type of circuit will adjust alternating current to direct current and, at the same time, have the ability to self-regulate to stabilize the current depending on the type of machinery and equipment, avoiding overload and damage.

Amplifier circuit

An amplifier circuit is a type of device or component that can take small input power and then amplify it into higher output power. Amplifier circuits can be divided into three different types:

  • Current amplifier circuit: This is a circuit that helps us obtain a signal with a current many times higher than the weak signal that was initially introduced.
  • Voltage amplifier: This is a type of circuit where, when a small amplitude signal is input, the output signal is a much larger amplitude signal.
  • Power amplifier circuit: In this circuit, we provide a low-power signal, and the output signal has a larger capacity. This type of circuit is an ingenious combination of the above two types of circuits.

Pulse generator circuit

A pulse generator circuit is a type of printed circuit used to connect electronic components and convert direct current into electrical energy with a pulse and frequency as required.

Sine wave generator circuit

This type of circuit is capable of generating a standard sine wave signal with amplitude and frequency. It is widely used as a signal source to check the characteristics of components, amplifiers, and other electronic devices. Based on the properties of the components and the frequency of the oscillation, we can classify sine waveforms. In addition, it can be used as a network wave and a modulation wave in transceiver technology.

How do electronic circuits work?

Electronic circuits are considered to be the infrastructure part of electromagnetic equipment, including individual electronic components (resistors, integrated circuits, capacitors, transistors, etc.). They will be connected by conductors and trails to conduct current. It is the component with the largest surface area in electronic devices.

With the combination of the above components, the board can perform operations such as amplifying signals, performing calculations, and transferring data from one location to another. It is for this reason that bad electrical signal transmission information on the electronic circuit board will affect the entire system, causing it to be seriously degraded.
